CABLEWAY
Due to the intricate topography of the city of La Paz, which is full of mountains, surrounded by mountain ranges, diverse rivers, it is very difficult to have expedited avenues for transportation. Despite this, the city continues to grow, but transportation becomes a major difficulty in the city. Because of this, a cable car becomes an excellent measure of mitigation to the transport problem, since it uses the changes of height, hills and mountains, to make a faster transport directly (straight line) without having to drive through complex serpentine streets that must accommodate the difficult topography.
The system aims to solve several problems at the same time, such as the precarious public transport service that can not cope with the growing demand from users and the "significant expenses", in time and money, which involves moving between both cities. In addition, traffic chaotic and with high levels of environmental and hearing pollution, and the growing demand for gasoline and diesel, which are subsidized by the State.
